Rekordbox Cloud Library Sync price by plan: Free, Core, Creative, Professional, and the Cloud Option add-on costs, checked October 2026.

Rimeo Team Guide7 min read

Rekordbox Cloud Library Sync is not a separate purchase. It rides on your rekordbox subscription plan, and the price depends on which plan you pick and how much Dropbox storage you need. As of October 2026, a usable amount of cloud storage starts at $9 a month on the Free plan with the Cloud Option add-on and goes up to $30 a month on the Professional plan, which already includes 5TB.

Rekordbox cloud library sync price: every plan compared

Prices below are from the official rekordbox plans page, checked in October 2026. Monthly figures in brackets are the per-month cost when you pay yearly; the second number is the price if you pay month to month instead.

  • Free: $0. No cloud storage on its own.
  • Free + Cloud Option: $108/year ($9/month paid yearly) or $11/month paid monthly. 1TB on Dropbox.
  • Core: $120/year ($10/month paid yearly) or $12/month paid monthly. No cloud storage included.
  • Core + Cloud Option: $228/year ($19/month paid yearly) or $23/month paid monthly. 1TB on Dropbox.
  • Creative: $180/year ($15/month paid yearly) or $18/month paid monthly. No cloud storage included.
  • Creative + Cloud Option: $276/year ($23/month paid yearly) or $28/month paid monthly. 1TB on Dropbox.
  • Professional: $360/year ($30/month paid yearly) or $36/month paid monthly. 5TB on Dropbox, no add-on needed.

So on Free, Core or Creative, cloud storage is an extra line: the Cloud Option add-on. Only Professional folds it into the base price. For the full mechanics of what actually gets uploaded and how Dropbox and Google Drive fit in, see our guide to rekordbox Dropbox sync.

Keep your own tracks off someone else's storage bill.

Rimeo streams your DJ library straight from your own computer to your phone and browser, so nothing needs to be uploaded or re-paid for in gigabytes. Build a playlist on your phone and it syncs back into Rekordbox exactly as you left it, with no cloud copy to manage.

Is rekordbox Cloud Library Sync free?

Not for a real DJ library, but there is a free way to test it. AlphaTheta's own Cloud Library Sync Operation Guide says Free and Core plans can use a Trial playlist, up to 20 tracks, with no activation needed. Free plan users can go further, up to 1,000 tracks through Cloud Export, by connecting a Hardware Unlock device or registering as the owner; Core plan users need to activate rekordbox to do the same. Neither comes with a set amount of Dropbox storage of its own.

That is nowhere near a working DJ library. Most collections run into the thousands of tracks, so the free tier is a demo, not a plan. The same guide notes that the Creative plan syncs your whole library, but only into Dropbox storage you already pay for yourself; Cloud Option and Professional are the only tiers with a Dropbox allowance built in, 1TB and 5TB.

What it means for your DJ library

Here is the part the price list does not say out loud: Cloud Library Sync works by copying your files into Dropbox (or Google Drive) storage, on top of what you already pay for rekordbox. Add more music and you may need a bigger storage tier too. And that copy is separate from the one on your computer, so it can drift: a track you re-tag or re-analyze at home does not automatically match what sits in the cloud.

None of this is a trick. AlphaTheta is upfront that Cloud Library Sync needs its own storage, confirmed on the official rekordbox plans FAQ. It is just worth knowing before you pick a plan: you are not paying to stream your existing files, you are paying to keep a second copy of them somewhere else.

Before you pay for Cloud Option, check this

  • How many tracks is your actual library, and does 1TB (Cloud Option) or 5TB (Professional) cover it with room to grow?
  • Do you need the cloud copy on more than one computer, or do you just want your library on your phone?
  • Are you fine paying monthly, or does paying yearly get you to the lower per-month rate ($9 to $30 depending on plan) shown above?
  • Is the goal actually storage in the cloud, or just being able to open your library away from your main computer? Those are different problems with different fixes. See how the two compare in our rekordbox Cloud Library Sync vs. Rimeo guide.

Your library, your computer, no extra storage bill

If what you actually want is to reach your DJ library from your phone, not to keep a cloud backup of it, the Cloud Option price tiers above are solving a slightly different problem than the one you have. You end up paying for storage space for files that already exist, safely, on your own computer.

Rimeo takes the other route: your computer stays the one copy that matters, and Rimeo streams it to your phone and any browser when you need it. Nothing gets uploaded, so there is no storage tier to size up as your library grows.

Your whole DJ library, no upload required.

Check a file's quality with a spectrogram, split a track into stems for an edit, or let Pulse show you which tracks never make it into a set, all from the Rimeo app on your own computer. Your library stays exactly where it already lives.

FAQ

Is rekordbox Cloud Library Sync free?

Not for a full DJ library. Free and Core plans can use a 20-track Trial playlist with no activation, and the Free plan can sync up to 1,000 tracks through Cloud Export with a Hardware Unlock device or owner registration. A growing library needs the Cloud Option add-on or the Creative or Professional plan.

How much does the rekordbox Cloud Option cost?

As of October 2026, Cloud Option on top of Free costs $108/year ($9/month) or $11/month billed monthly; on Core it is $228/year ($19/month) or $23/month; on Creative it is $276/year ($23/month) or $28/month. Each gives 1TB on Dropbox.

Which rekordbox plan includes cloud storage without an add-on?

Professional, at $360/year ($30/month) or $36/month billed monthly, includes 5TB on Dropbox as part of the base plan. Free, Core and Creative all need the separate Cloud Option add-on for a built-in Dropbox allowance.

Is there a way to access my DJ library from my phone without paying for cloud storage?

Yes. Tools like Rimeo stream your DJ library straight from your own computer to your phone and browser, so there is no separate cloud storage tier to buy or grow into.
