A playlist you put together in Rimeo lands in your real Rekordbox library with the same name, in the right folder, in the same order. There is nothing to export and nothing to import.

Backed up before anything is written

Rimeo copies your library first. If any part of the write does not come back clean, it puts everything back the way it was.

Run it twice, nothing doubles

Rimeo sends the difference, not a copy, so running Sync again changes nothing. The playlist ends up exactly as you left it in Rimeo, so keep editing it on the phone rather than in Rekordbox.

Offline

Rimeo streams your DJ library from your own computer, so a live stream needs that machine awake. Download what you actually play while it is on. After that the tracks come off your iPhone, with the computer shut and the signal gone.

Pulse reads your set history back to you.

Rekordbox already logged every night you played. Pulse glues those sessions back into sets and works out what is actually in rotation. It counts on your phone, from the DJ library the agent already read.

Does Rimeo upload my library to the cloud?

No audio ever goes to our servers. Your files stay on your computer, and the only other place they land is your own iPhone, when you download tracks for offline. In the iPhone app at home, music streams over your Wi-Fi straight from your computer. Everywhere else it goes through an encrypted Cloudflare tunnel. Our servers keep your account and a copy of your track list and playlists, so the browser player opens quickly.

What do I actually install?

RimeoAgent, on the computer that holds your Rekordbox library. It runs on macOS 12 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel, and on Windows 10 and 11. Then listen in the iPhone app from the App Store, in any web browser, or in both. There is no server to set up.

Does it work outside my home network?

Yes. After you sign in, RimeoAgent opens an encrypted Cloudflare tunnel by itself, so your library opens from a gig or another country. Your music computer has to stay on and online for that.

Which devices can I use?

An iPhone, through the Rimeo app, and any modern web browser, which covers Android phones, tablets and other computers. RimeoAgent runs on macOS and Windows. The app is built for iPhone only, so on an iPad, use the browser.

How does it connect to Rekordbox?

You don't export anything. RimeoAgent finds your Rekordbox library on its own and reads it directly: your playlists and folders, your play history, and each track's BPM, key, genre, label, artwork and play count. The connection also runs the other way: with Sync, playlists you build in Rimeo are written back into Rekordbox. Pointing the agent at a Rekordbox XML file is only a backup option for rare setups where it can't read the library directly.

Will Rimeo change my Rekordbox library?

Only when you run Sync, and only your playlists. Sync creates, renames, reorders and deletes the playlists and folders you manage in Rimeo, and adds or removes their tracks. It never touches your audio files or track tags. Rekordbox has to be closed while it runs. Before every write, Rimeo backs up the Rekordbox database and keeps the last five copies; if a write fails, it restores the old one. One rule to know: a synced playlist always ends up exactly as it is in Rimeo, so a track you add to it inside Rekordbox is removed from it on the next sync.

Which audio formats play?

MP3, WAV and AIFF, including 24-bit hi-res files. For streaming, your computer turns AIFF into WAV on the fly and sends hi-res tracks as 16-bit, CD-quality WAV, so everything plays in the browser and on the iPhone. Offline downloads keep the original file, byte for byte.

Can I listen when my laptop is offline?

Yes, once you have downloaded the music. In the iPhone app, one tap saves a track or a whole playlist to your phone while your computer is on. Those tracks then play from the iPhone itself, with the computer shut and no signal. Offline listening lives in the iPhone app; the browser needs your computer online.
